Virginia Rappe was an actress from the silent film era of Hollywood. Her career was cut short by her tragic and suspicious death in 1921. Roscoe 'Fatty' Arbuckle was accused of assault and manslaughter, but was found not guilty. I noticed nearly every historical account dismissed Virginia Rappe in favor of making Arbuckle seem wrongly accused. The goal of this poem is to allow Rappe a rebuttal to the traditional narrative, and to shed a light on her film career.
